Looks awful painful... but look how clean he looks now. I wonder how long that would last before he had to do it again. Don't think I'll try it though. I'll admit, I don't like pain. :'(

It looks very smooth, but I don't know if I'd have the stones to go through something like that.

I read about head waxing a while back and what I read said that it will only keep you smooth for about 3 days. Not worth it in my book, but just like xnewyawka, I enjoy my daily shave!

For 3 days no where near worth it. The whole idea of not having a shadow and eliminating the some of the procedures involved in being sly sounds interesting but I would miss my shaves

Pretty sure that's one thing I'll never do. I let my friends wax random patchs on my legs once, and it isn't a nice feeling to watch your hair folicals bleed.

I read about head waxing a while back and what I read said that it will only keep you smooth for about 3 days.
That's probably because hair grows in stages. I think about 1/3 of your hair is in a resting phase at any given time. If you wax your head, it will get everything that isn't currently resting. What grows back in a few days is most likely hair that's coming out of the resting phase. If you wax a few times, there will probably be less and less hair growing back each time. I doubt that you'd ever be able to get rid of all your hair permanently, except perhaps on top which would probably get that way on its own in time.
I wouldn't want to do it either.

I don't want to do it. I think it causes similar problems as tweezing - s XHierophant's post.
I also like my shaving procedure.

GASlick......heck no! looks 2 painful. :/O i'll take my fusion (manual) razor any day of the week. i don't think any of the sly guys will even think about doing this. however.... if u have the cajones 2 do it. post up a video & give us your review. any volunteers?? anyone?? timmy? rick? jdog? b_freak? pigpen? bill? I must admit I'm tempted to try it. I wonder how long it would last? Anybody know? I would have it professionaly done though. If it would keep me smooth for a week or more I would definitely try it. After a few beers.
It can't to much worse than getting a tattoo. That doesn't seem to bother me.

Same here man... I'm not saying it won't work, I'm just a bit skeptical as to the long term effects after doing some reading on the net. Hey, it might work, I'm just not up for the risk. I'd rather go for the laser hair removal if I went that route. More $$, but the head is a very visible area and I'd want it done correctly.

jdog....u r a very brave man 2 consider doing it but i must agree that shadow-free dome is very tempting. i tell ya what... if u haven't found a volunteer 2 headwax your dome by the chicago convention then i'll help ya out. that's right... i said it... chicago convention (if my schedule allows me) i will headwax your dome if u still have the cajones 2 do it. we'll have R buddy (timmj) video record it & we'll have tyler post it up on the sly forum. O0

Yea I had seen that vid a few years ago.. THink I posted it not sure if it was on this forum.. but yea I dislike pain.. if it would last 1 month or more yea then I would consider it. but for 3 days no way..
