So what's your favorite type of beer, wine, alcohol, mixed drink, sake and soju?
-
Sailin' with Captain Morgan and his first matey Coke... toss a lime in and it's smooooooth sailing!! 8)
I also enjoy Margaritas... Rocks, never frozen!!
The occasional brew when watching the game...

Beer...and beer. Not much of a wine person...never have been. I'm all over the JagerBombs though. YUM I like whiskey too. Then around Christmas I'll enjoy some Bailey's and coffee. Main reason is one of our vendors gives each of us a fifth of the stuff for Christmas...come to think of it I'm still workin on last year's bottle.

Whiskey. Old number 7 and its fine family of products for me. I also like single malt scotch. In the way of beer DARK ALE. I do like wine a lot, but hardly have it because I never think of buying it. I like just about anything Japanese so sake is also a favorite.
-
crown and seven. beer would be some micro brew.( breckenridge, or fat tire.) lived at club med in copper mtn co one ski season and drank so much wine that the smell kinda gets me now. usually just bud light because it is hard to find good micros here. so i settle for bud light.

I usually drink beer. My favorites are stouts, porters, brown ales and I'm on an anything Belgium kick right now. If I drink domestic it's usually Coors.
If I drink wine I'm usually with clients. In this case I like a good cabernet (No, if anyone orders Merlot, I'm leaving. I am NOT drinking any fucking Merlot!) or a good Italian wine from the Piedmont region of Italy.
If I'm at one of those trendy places I'll drink vodka. My drink of choice there is an Effen Black Cherry and Soda. If they don't have Effen, then Grey Goose will do.
I much prefer Jack or Jim when drinking straight or on the rocks. This is what I'll drink if I'm hanging with a bunch of my buddies or in camp. We have a rule that only Jim and Jack can be taken into camp.

I do like the occasional Bombay Sapphire martini. Grey Goose is always good, too, for those types of situations.

That is an outstanding rule!

I don't drink alcohol anymore, had enough beer when I was in high school & college. It just makes me tired now. I love this stuff though.
-
Monster is some damn good stuff. It has kept me going on some long nights workin side jobs and stuff.
-
Beer, I brew my own. Usually a stout or a porter, sometimes a wheat beer, like Widmer's in the summer time.

I tried the home brewery thing. It was a nightmare! I guess some how over carbonated the beer and had bottles just blowing up on their own. I had pieces of glass and sticky spots of beer all over the pantry the whole after that I was in that apartment. Yeah the beer tasted just awful, too.

MMMM, yummy!

ar3inc, sounds like you got some bacteria in the wort, and the yeast attacked it as well as the sugar, makes for nasty beer. Cleanliness is the most important thing in brewing beer. Purchase a book "The Joys of Homebrewing" Goes through everything. Good history on beer also.

;D Beer on a daily basis, wine with the wife and close friends, and single malt whisky [neat] with my real intimates. Champagne for special occasions, although recently I've found the stuff too sweet to swallow. I used to write about the whites [rieslings, Mueller-Thurgaus, etc.] and still virtually unknown reds [mostly Spaetburgunders] of Germany and Austria. I know some successful home-brewers but prefer micro-brews and imports, Bass, Harp, Spatenbraeu, and the original Czech Budweiser , which now goes by some other name since Annhaeuser-Busch bought the name in the late 19th century. On very snowy nights, Gluewein [mulled and spiced red wine] is warming. Cheers, Professor Melon

Well that would depend on when and where I'm having the drink.
Eating steak: Bass Ale
At a ballgame: Miller Genunine Draft
After a good set at a comedy show: Corona with a lime
Out dancing: Gin and Tonic (Bombay Saphire)
At a lounge with the lay-days: Martini (Grey Goose Vodka)
Wow, I just realized that I am a freak. I actually catagorize my drinks to the events. Perhaps I should seek professional help.
-
Whiskey: JD, and black velvet
Rum: No thanks
Wine: Too young
Beer: ALEXANDER KEITHS PALE ALE, THE PRIDE OF NOVA SCOTIA. I also like porter and a good dark stout now and then. Propeller honey and wheat is pretty fine, and Dortmunder. Some fruit beers like Pump house blueberry ale.
Moonshine when I'm back home, burn the hairs off your arse...
-
Beer - Cold.
Wine - Most wineries from the Alexander Valley (White Oak, "J", A.V. Vineyards, Roth, Murphy Goode). The Cabs from that region are awesome.

Margaritas. I'm not a snob like BaldRob, I'll have a frozen one just as easily as one on the rocks.
I'm not a snob... such a perfect concoction as the Margarita shouldn't be weakened or watered down by a blender full of ice!
And speaking of snobiness... how do you drink your Ketel One?? O:O

Create an Island Paradise with Tropical Drink Recipes
Non-Alcoholic Tropical Drinks
Easy Hawaiian Punch (Serves 15-20)
1.5 Quarts Orange Juice
1 Quart Pineapple Juice
1 Liter Lemon-Lime Soda
4 oz (shots) Grenadine
Sliced fruit of your choice
Combine the liquid ingredients in large bowl, garnish with sliced fruit and chill with ice or the refrigerator. Adults can easily add a little “punch†to this recipe.
Tropical Plantation Ice Tea
1 Pitcher of your favorite Ice Tea
½ Quart Pineapple Juice
1 Pineapple sliced lengthways
Stir the Pineapple Juice into the Iced Tea and garnish with the Pineapple “spearsâ€. You may remove the skin of the Pineapple or leave for that “rustic lookâ€.
Traditional Tropical Drink Recipes
Mai Tai
Invented by the famous Trader Vic in 1944, “Mai Tai†means literally “the very best “ in the Tahitian language.
1 oz Light Rum
1 oz Dark Rum
1 oz Orange Curacao or Grand Marnier (Triple Sec can substitute)
½ oz Amaretto (Almond liqueur)
1 oz Orange Juice
1 oz Pineapple Juice
1 Dash lime juice
1 Dash Grenadine
Shake well and pour over ice. Garnish with a Cherry and Orange slice if available. Don’t forget the paper umbrella!
Piña Colada
Meaning “Strained Coconut†this island mainstay is actually believed to have been invented by Puerto Rican bartender Ramon Marrero in 1954. Marrero set out to capture all the flavors of Puerto Rico in one glass by combining Pineapple, Coconut and Rum.
4 oz Pina Colada Mix (Or 1 part Crème de Coconut and 2 parts Pineapple Juice)
1 oz Light Rum
1 Cup Ice
1 oz Half and Half or Milk (For a creamier version. Optional)
Combine ingredients in a blender or mix well and enjoy on the rocks. Garnish with a cherry and pineapple. Don’t forget the paper umbrella!
Chi Chi
Simply substitute Vodka for Rum in the above Pina Colada recipe to create this Hawaiian spin-off.
Blue Hawaiian
This cocktail was probably inspired by the 1961 film Blue Hawaii starring Elvis Presley.
1 oz Light Rum
1 oz Blue Curacao
3 oz Pina Colada Mix (Or 1 part Crème de Coconut and 2 parts Pineapple Juice)
1 Cup Ice
Combine ingredients in a blender or mix well and enjoy on the rocks. Garnish with a cherry and pineapple. Don’t forget the paper umbrella!
Tropical Itch
This modern cocktail is served with a backscratcher in the glass. If you cannot get your hands on Lilikoi (passion fruit) juice, just substitute a mix of your favorites.
1oz Vodka
1oz Light Rum
1/2 oz Orange Curacao or Grand Marnier (Triple Sec will substitute)
3 - 4 oz. Passion Fruit Juice (Or get creative!)
Shake well and pour over ice. Garnish with fruit and the backscratcher!
Lime Daiquiri (Straight Up)
This legendary libation originated in the Cuban village of the same name sometime around 1900.
1.5 oz Light Rum
1 oz Lime Juice
1 tsp sugar
1 cup ice
Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a cocktail glass.
Frozen Strawberry Daiquiri
The modern version of this Cuban classic. Feel free to substitute Banana instead of Strawberry for a great twist.
1.5 oz Light Rum
1 oz Lime Juice
3 oz Fresh Strawberries (Or Bananas)
1 tsp sugar
1 cup ice
Blend ingredients thoroughly. Serve in a glass with sugar on the rim or top with whipped cream and a cherry.
Mojito
Another Cuban creation that has gained popularity recently, Mojitos were invented in a popular Havana restaurant called La Bodeguita del Medio. The name Mojito supposedly comes from an African word “Mojo†which means magic spell.
2 oz Light Rum
1 Splash Soda
1 Splash Ginger Ale
2 Leaves Mint
2 Wedges Lime
2 oz Simple Syrup (2 tsp Sugar)
Mash lime wedges, mint, and sugar syrup together. Add this to a shaker with rum and ice. Shake and strain into glass. Top with soda and ginger ale.
