Title: WRECKING BALM-"DEVASTATINGLY EFFECTIVE" TATTOO FADE SYSTEM
Post by: KALBO on October 03, 2007, 07:16:14 PM
Anyone here ever use Wrecking Balm or have first hand knowledge of its effectiveness?

It comes in a package with an exfoliating tool, suffusion gel for the tool, a spray you apply after a minute of "grinding" the area for a minute with the exfoliating tool and gel, then some cream for the exposed area.  It also comes with some coverup cream that has nothing to do with the process, just to apply if you wanted to cover the tat temporarily while going out if you didn't want it to show.

I had heard good things, but just as the money back guarantee expired(61 days later) on an order I got for my girlfriend, I really don't see much of a result. :Xo!

You can see the skin fade around it, the texture of the skin has changed, but I can't tell if the tat has faded much.  I would like to believe so.

At their website, http://www.wreckingbalm.com/ , I found it eager to try it out...especially with a display like this...

..but after the initial 2 month supply runs out, I find it ironic how a couple bits of subtle remarks found on the site try to get you back for more.  One remark mentions how a tat can actually get brighter after 2 months while they basically lure you in with your 3rd order free with another pitch.

We are so good at SBGs finding different products for the best price, if you have heard of Wrecking Balm, maybe you know of other products that can be found cheaper at our local department stores?

Right now I feel like submerging the exfoliating tool in HeadShed and going to town on her tattoo regret!

This product is along the same lines as the hair-removal mitts, toppik hair dust, and countless other shams. The photo they show you for the after pic is probably taken from a laser type removal site. You can't "exfoliate" a tat off. If you use the orbital sander like tatfanatic shows in the pic you will, but you better be ready to go to the emergency room.   :/O

Like all other false improvement scams, and there are many, it plays on your insecurities and gives false hope. Similar to hair club for men, and other various "wig" solution companies.

If you are seriously considering removal, go the laser route.

I called them today.

They really stand by their product...offered me a full refund if I mail the stuff back...25% instant refund if I kept the stuff...or another complete kit(basically, refills minus the exfoliator tool) free of charge.

Think what impressed me most is that I was outside the 60 day money back guarantee.

No, I don't work for them...just amazed me with the win/win situation they gave me.

Ironically I teach in Brunswick, Maine for a few weeks every other month.  They are based out of Portland, Maine...the city that I fly into, just 30-40 minutes from Brunswick.

Shadow I cant say that I have ever heard of this. Very interesting, I will ask my tattoo artist when I see him in a few weeks.

Honestly , I realize people make some seriously bad decisions re: tattoos and have seen thousands of awful tattoos in my life and I guess these type of products would be marketed to them but personally I know that every tattoo that I get will stay on my body until I am dust in the ground.

I mean, a cream and spray with an exfoliating tool that effectively(sp) removes an unwanted tattoo ?? That spells S-H-A-M to me.

in the ads I've heard, it almost implies a bleaching of the tat
