hey fellow chrome domers...... october 1st was the official 1st day of flu season at my local hospital in florida. 2 limit your chances of getting sick this season practice good handwashing & carry your anti-bacterial hand lotions. other than the obvious handwashing the anti-bacterial hand lotions r very effective. I.E.....if u r waiting 2 pump gas & that person in front of sneezes & wipes his/hers hands with it & touches the pump :Xo! :Xo! :Xo!....well there ya go u have the hand sanitizer 2 avoid getting the "germs" from that person in front of u. i know i know that we still might get sick but ..... atleast u can limit/decrease the # of times u get sick. oh..... if u can get a flu shot...get it. i believe the local drug stores here r charging $30 per shot. anyways....hope this helps limit your time being sick this flu season.
OH....and watch 4 that guy/gal that sneezes at the gas pumps. :Xo! :Xo! :Xo!

Great advice WH. Thanks for the info. I also subscribe to the theory that drinking plenty of fluids helps... `Dr!n# especially if they contain alcohol to kill germs >:D

I've been a big fan of AIRBORNE for the last couple of years. It's supposed to be vitamins and minerals. It's like a huge alka-seltzer tablet that I drop in a bottle of water, close the bottle, and shake up.
At the very least, it gets me drinking more water. :-D

Get them flu shots y'all.

Get them flu shots y'all.
I rarely get the flu. The only two times I've gotten the flu really bad was the two years that I got the Flu shot. Not saying you shouldn't, it's just me.

Warhawk, I wear latex rubber gloves whenever I am in the public enviornment. I have a big fear of germs, specifically Meningiccoccal, which is spread by saliva.
I always carry a bottle of hand sanitiser and wear a surgical mask when I am at work.

I got my flu shot this morning and I'm already starting to feel a little weird. Also, my shoulder is starting to hurt. I hate getting this shot, but I had to do it for the new princess in the house.

Got my flu shot a week ago last saturday and started taking some airborne last night when I felt just a tinge of tingle in my throat. I usually get it good 1 time each season. I'm more prone to sinus infections that flu, though.

Got mine last week. So far no problems.

I've been getting a flu shot for the last 10 years. Never had a bad reaction until last year. I had a sore arm and a bad cough that wouldn't go away until Thanksgiving.
So last week I thought I'd change my course of action. Instead of going to my regular doc, I went to my church and got the shot there. Hate to say it but my doctor always jabs that needle deep into my arm. Ouch!
The nurse at the church did a more professional job. I didn't even feel the injection. No pain, and it's not sore at all.
Funny thing, I've never had the flu. But having school-aged kids, I want to play it safe and be precautious. O0

Had my flu shot this year. No reaction to it.

Bros have any of you ever had the flu mist? The last several years its what uncle sam has been giving us. It is this jelly/liquid that you squirt up each of your nostils. Kinda is gross but never had a bad reaction.
Yea AIRBORNE is tight too!
