Title: NL East Playoffs
Post by: BaldBen on September 30, 2007, 06:53:19 AM
With Major League Baseball's regular season ending today, four teams still have a chance to earn one of two remaining playoff spots.

The New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies have identical records. They could meet Monday in Philadelphia to decide the National League East division championship.

The San Diego Padres have the edge for the National League's wild-card playoff spot, but the Colorado Rockies still have an outside chance to earn it.

Last night I heard an internet feed of NY's WFAN and one of their sportscasters was on a bridge......
and said he was going to jump off!

I can't believe how the Mets choked but as a Braves fan, I gotta say, it was quite enjoyable for me!

If anybody caught the tiebreaker game between Colorado-SDiego, it was a great game, just took forever... Rockies won on a blown save by Trevor Hoffman... unbelievable.
