It's been a while since I've been here, 2017 it appears. Anyway, I've been fluctuating between a flattop and shaved head since then and even attempted to grow the flattop out and nearly succeeded. Most recently, last October I shaved my head and committed to keeping it for a year but near the end of January, I started growing it out. In mid April it was long enough to get the flattop back. In June, I started regretting growing it out and let my wife and a few friends know, but they said the flattop was me. Two weeks ago today, after work, I told my wife and son that I was going back to Mr Clean and asked if either of them wanted to play barber, they both declined. After my wife went to bed, I broke out the clippers and got rid of the flattop and then lather and shaved it with the grain, then lather and shaved against the grain. I'm glad to be back and if I think about growing it out, I'll post so you guys can talk me out of it. It's good to be back! Link is for my Friday night buzzing two weeks ago. Welcome back. The shaved head looks great, but I admit, so did your flattop. You are not the only one here that goes between flattop and shaved. Our own @reddog does the same thing. I love flattops, but I was never able to do one. I tried several times back when I had hair, but my hair was wavy and had some strong growth directions that refused to let the hairs stand up flat.

Thanks slybeard! My flattop didn't look as good as it did when I was younger and it is expensive to maintain. I had 5 haircuts between April and June and spent $150 altogether. That's crazy! Another good reason to return and stay Sly! Have a wonderful weekend!

I to alternate between a shaved head and a Flattop . I think you look great both ways although I admit that I tend to think the laptop looks better on you. I know what you mean though I spend $150 per month to keep my Flattop in shape.!
