Not much activity here lately, so I thought I would ask a question.
Many of us love sporting a shaved head. Do you like the look of a smooth shaved head, or the awesome feel of a freshly shaved head?
Although I really enjoy the clean, sharp look of a totally bald head, I think I like the feel of a BBS dome more. That's probably why I shave everyday. Can't stand the 24 hour stubble. I also love the shine on my head after shaving, too.

I like the feel of a shaved head best also. It’s really 50/50! But i can’t stand the stubble. Plus i like buffing the dome with aloe to get the glassy feel.
Another advantage of shaving the dome....you get to do it as often as you want! And you always look consistent and sharp. There’s ease an ease to shaving. Buzzing your own hair is nuisance and messy.

If I have to choose, I would say the feel. I could get the look with a zero buzz, but with the razor I get the bonus feel and shine. I can get by with three days for the look, but smooth only last 12 hours or so. I tend to shave a night, so I sleep away the fist half of the smooth.

The look of a shaved head can also be like a “package deal” with the facial hair. Personally, i liked a shaved head with beard or a mustache but recently tried going clean shaven which i also like.

For me, it is definitely the feel. I don’t even think that I look good with a shaved head; and I have never gotten any feedback from others that they think so either. I don’t think that even most of you guys on this board think that I look that I look better with a shaved head than I do with hair!
But, as much as I might like the “look” of me with hair, I truly enjoy the feeling of having having my head shaved and especially the “cleanliness” of it, if you know what I mean? I don’t quite know how to really express what I’m trying to say.

Looks like most of us are hooked on the feel of a shaved head.
As far as the look, I like how I look bald. More than that, sporting a shaved head is a unique distinct style. We are the few that have the guts to proudly choose to shave our heads completely bald.
Semi, I know exactly what you're saying about the clean aspect. I can go a couple days without my hair becoming visible, but I just don't feel clean unless I shave daily. Got to be smooth! And, I think you look great bald!

Definitely the feel. I shave in the shower and my head feels so good after shaving while it’s wet.

I sure agree that buzzing your head is as you say , slow and messy.

There's nothing like rub your head after a shave...is amazing.

As a newbie, I'd have to say the feel. I can't stop touching my head! Regarding the look, having feared going bald for years, I was surprised that I didn't hate the look once I shaved, and I'm growing to like it and see it as the new me.

Overall, the look. I like both the feel of a few days stubble, as well as the freshly razor shaved head, especially in the shower after shaving.

The feel stands out to me. You may not notice if you miss a spot during your daily shave by looking but you definitely feel the difference! Makes you go back and clean it up to make sure everything is just right.

I have to agree with you all - the feel is great. I'm now 25 days bbc - the longest I've ever rocked a bald head. There's nothing quite like the feel of a freshly shaved head. I like the look too. The feel just tops it all off.
I'm working on what to use on my scalp to keep it nice and smooth and get a good shine.

I get the best shine after I exfoliate, shave, cold water rinse, and apply witch hazel. I understand why they called bald guys "chrome dome". My head shines like a chrome bumper. I do use Nivea moisturiser a couple times a week. Exfoliate once a week.
