I was wondering what the opinion of nipple hair was on the forum
The story is that I was on holiday the other week and my friends were one at me to pluck my nipple hair, as I have a fairly hairy chest and apparently nipple hair is minging/disgusting. I had no idea, maybe I slipped into the 80s for some of that big hair. Basically I totally missed that I should be styling my chest hair(well nipple specifically)
There is no chance that I would get rid of my chest hair but I am tempted to remove some nipple hair.
What everyone elses opinion of this? Should I or shouldnt I?

This is not exactly the question you asked but what I do/prefer is to trim all chest hair (including nipple) with clippers and a 1 guard. I do this about once a month when it grows out again. Cheers

believe it or not; but i've been considering doing this too; uga ...  I guess it's the smoothness of the head ; like it so much I want it for rest of body .    does the #1 guard leave kind of a 'stubble'?

Pull it with a tweezers...wax...or Nair for Men...
All work, but Nair can burn you if you use it incorrectly.

			-
I don't see what good it will do to mess with the hair around the nipples, if you're going to leave the rest of the chest hairy.
Anyhow, my opinion is Nair for Men sucks.  I tried it once, followed directions, left it on the max time, and it took off maybe 10% of my chest hair.  Then I shaved the rest off. :P

I agree, Medic, the times I've tried it, it is more work that just shaving and I ended up having to use a razor to do cleanup.  The #1 guard is also a good idea.  I tried this a couple of times.

Works well for me, but first time I did get some 1st degree burns and it really smells bad! :XX

No problem with nipple hair here. I am so not harry.

Plucking nipple hair with tweezers sounds mighty painful.  OUCH :'( :'(

			-
Just take the Headblade over the nipple after you have had an ice cube on your nipple for 2 minutes.
Sorry, this topic is flat out wrong.

I agree guys, and I surely don't want anything that may "burn" near my nipples or any other sensitive areas.   :/O

Maybe he doesnt have chest hair and just hair around the nipple??? I dunno..if thats the case bro...shave em or do what ever you need to do to get em off.

				Nipple hair???
Oddly enough, I actually prefer it on large-breasted, Scandinavian female decathlon athletes.

Actually John, I use clippers w/ no guard as I have the adjustable blade kind that leaves 1/16". I put my finger OVER my nipple to make sure there are no accidents.

uga, what kind of clippers are you using?
Being the hairy Italian that I am, I'm thinking about buzzing the chest area down too. My wife usually buzzes down my back, with an Oster adjustable trimmer. I also use the lowest guard to trim the goatee. Wondering if I could use them in the front without nipping?
KC and Medic, when you shave, does it itch like crazy?

I have a wahl but my next investment is going to be oster 76, from what I hear they are the best hands down,

Hey Joe, No, never had itichin be a problem.  Just buzz the chest hair about 1/month to keep from looking like an old geezer.  Chest hair is not prickly like facial hair so it was never a problem

I love it we are getting an in depth convo about nipples
To answer some points yes I do have chest hair and yes I have plucked my nipples, looks abit strange, think Ill let it grow back as I have the rest of the chest hair but no nipple hair now

A lighter is pretty quick and painless, if your careful  :D

True, but then there's that horrible smell, still, it's probably better than nipple burn from Nair for men.   :-\

"weeeee did'nt staart the fiiiire" Ya jus shave it ,I shave my chest every couple days and my arms daily ,coz I'm a weightlifter and it jus makes everything look cleaner, never had any probs.

I work with a very hairy guy with Greek ancestry and he calls the process of removing hair from your arms, chest, back and legs Manscaping. He can grow a full thick beard in 1 week.

			-
Is the nipple hair actually ON THE NIPPLE itself? or around it?

I guess it depends on how hairy you are, but I just can't imagine shaving my arms.  I'd have to shave the backs of my hands to make it look right.  Just seems like more trouble than it's worth and I can't imagine dealing with the returning stubble.  I'd love to have less body hair, but it's one of those things I 've just had to learn to live with.

my view on shavign your body is if you arent a bodybuilder....why do it?  I dont see the attraction to shaving the whole body.  I once sat next to a guy on a plane and I dont know if he had a medical problem or he just shaved everything.  Well I dont know if he shaved "everything" but this dude..only visable hair I could see was his eyelashes.  None on his legs...arms...face..anywhere.  He wasnt one of these model looking guys or anything.  I just felt kinda uncomfortable sitting next to him.  Why?  I dunno I just did.
Timmayy!
