I shaved my head a few months ago, but my scalp is still much lighter than my face.
I've been using a self-tanning product that's highly rated on , but it gives my head a kind of light brown color, while my naturally tanned face is more orange, like this other p:

It's funny because apparently self-tanners are valued for NOT turning you orange, but that's what I need to match the color of my face.
Any recommendations?

This web site seems to have eaten some words from my post.

... Absent any recommendations, I ended up buying a "tanning oil" at Walmart. Turns out tanning oils do not do anything (snake oil would be a better name), but it's not worth my time to wait in line to return a $7 item.

Tanning oils are for increasing a tan while in the sun, not as a self-tanner.
As for a self-tanner that turns you orange, you'll probably have to try out a few to help you get the shade that you're looking for. A beauty store might help you with this. Or you can find self-tanners with bad reviews and see if the reviews are because of the orange tint.

They don't even do that. Natural tanning is literally triggered by DNA damage.
(There are some (not FDA-approved) drugs that make you tan more, but these oils don't contain any of them)

I'm not here to debate their effectiveness, I'm just letting you know why they are sold.

Dude, I realized this thing was not a self-tanner by the time I got home and opened the bottle. I then researched these tanning oils and that's why I called them "snake-oil" in my 3rd post.
