Title: New Name!
Post by: Laser Man on April 14, 2016, 09:15:48 AM
NPSBG is now "Laser Man"!

Last November I decided to go for laser treatment to become a "permanent" sly guy.  At this point, I'm about halfway through and so I thought it's time to change my name to go along with my changed appearance, i.e., a shadow-free bald man.

Altogether fitting, Laser.

Good choice.

Thanks!  Here's the short version of my story.  I've had five laser treatments so far, roughly five weeks between each.  The first ones took longer (about 30 minutes for the numbing cream to work and 30 minutes for the lasering).  For the last two, I did not use a numbing cream and the laser sessions took only about 15 minutes because so much hair is gone.  The treatments are not painless, but the pain is completely tolerable.  After each treatment, my scalp felt warm and tight like I had a mild sunburn, but I did not have any redness at all.

After the first treatment, my shadow was darker and for about a week or ten day, I didn't notice much hair loss.  However within another week, I was much balder - the shadow was almost gone on the sides and top and only a few patches remained in the back.  With each treatment, the remaining dark hair diminished and after the fourth treatment, I have effectively no shadow.  I still shave to remove the greys which grow slowly, but right now, I look naturally bald.  To keep this look and further diminish any remaining dark hairs, I have another 5 or 6 treatments.

Interestingly, no one at work or in my social group has either noticed or commented on my shift to full baldness.   I'm happy about that and with the results I've gotten.

Glad that you are loving the results.  Keep us posted after each treatment.  Your laser journey sounds interesting.

Interesting idea. I've know people who have had laser hair removal, but none of them went the way you are! I am glad it's been a positive experience for you, and that you're happy with the results!
