Hey guys my name is Gary and I'm from ky. I have always kept a short hair cut but decided to shave it this past Friday and I love it. I just bought a headblade and like it well. What can you guys suggest for good care for my bald head to keep it nice and smooth and bump free. Thanks.

Welcome to the board, Gary.
There are a lot of scrubs and lotions out there for your scalp, but what I have found works really well to get dead cells off my dome (and actually gives me a smoother, longer lasting shave) is taking a small handful of plain kosher salt from the grocery store and scrubbing my entire head with it each morning before I shave. My scalp has never been so smooth. It is really inexpensive, too.
Glad you joined us.

Hi Gary: Welcome to the sly fraternity from Beautiful NW Florida. Treat your dome like your face. For me after each head shave I perform a cold water rinse, ice cube rub, splash some refrigerated witch hazel, let air dry, and apply either after shave splash or lotion.
Again...welcome to the sly fraternity. We hope that you become an active member. Enjoy the sly life. I know I am.

Welcome Gary. As you have already gotten some good tips from Warhawk and Cave Dweller, all I can add is continue to read the various posts under Headshaving and Care and you should be able to find a routine that works well for you.

Welcome from down south in Louisiana. I never had bump issues, so I cannot offer any suggestions.

Welcome Gary , my name also. I've always used witch hazel after shaving. It' good for any soreness and it feels good and refreshing.

Garyd is the youngest Gary l have known of. I read the name peaked in the mid to late 50's then fell off dramatically. Guess that's why all the Gary's I come across are older guys like myself. No offense intended to the other Gary's out there!

I saw your post a few days ago, but have been busy with life this week. I was going to comment that my beard used to be the color that you sport now.
I've had the beard since 1980. No plans to stop now.
