my bald head just went from pretty to very ugly i dont even wanna go out in public with this massive chunch of my skin gone

I hate to hear that! :( When you can, please post a pic. I've cut myself before pretty badly and felt the same way. To my surprise, not many people focused on it. Nicks and cuts are bound to happen with shaving at times unfortunately. I also cut myself shaving today and no one pointed it out. I wish fast healing upon you and keep us posted.

Did you shave in a rush ??? Or did you go against the grain??

well i shave every morning before school very fast AND i do shave against the grain only way that provides a smooth shave going against the grain gets you that smooth look going with the grain doesnt get all the hairs so its all stubbly an nasty

Over the years I have had a few of those bad cuts and it's always from rushing or not staying focused. Slow and steady wins the race. The worst part is having to leave it unshaved until it heals.

Most have had a cut, usually when rushing, me included. Head heals real fast, so even after a couple of days, it looks better.

I usually get one small nick with each shave - but my styptic pencil makes it invisible right away.
One time though, I was shaving while riding on a Navy ship - it was rocking back and forth, the lighting was horrible, I was using a dull blade, not the best cream, and I didn't have a mirror to see the back of my head. It was a recipe for disaster. I took a big ol' chunk out of my head near the top/back. Blood everywhere. It was gruesome.
I slammed it with the styptic pencil and it sure helped, but it really needed like two weeks to heal. Now, I never shave my head unless I have the resources to do the job right.
