Title: Favorite Bald Actors
Post by: Tyler on August 12, 2006, 03:15:48 PM: One of my favorite bald actors is Pruitt Taylor Vince. Most people may not know who he is but he's done a ton of stuff. If you've ever seen S1m0ne or Legend of 1900 then you will know who he is because he played a pretty big part in both.

I consider him a great character actor. He's also starring in the X-Men films as that professor...

He also has the ideal skull shape for being bald (imho).

I watched his canceled TV Show "Kevin Hill" first because I liked his look so much ... but then I also liked the show.
The new show "Day Break" is kind of predictable and uninteresting; dunno if the bald look is gonna keep me watching. ;)

Wasn't he in Constantine with Keanu Reeves, and played the "crazy eye" dude in "Touching Evil"? (USA series)

Post by: Vash on February 18, 2007, 02:54:39 AM: Avery Brookes is awsome! I first saw him as Hawk on a show called Spencer For Hire with Robert Urich. Brookes played the no questions asked ass kicking tough guy perfectly (and he was bald at the time). I was a little disappointed when DS9 came out and he had hair! WTF!? But later they made his character a little more hard core and he shaved it again (yay!).

I always like Pruitt Taylor Vince when I see him. He always does a great job as an actor, though he's rarely "the star".

Sir Ben Kingsley is an amazing bald actor, he's been in a tons of movies in his long career and he is one SLY MoFo to boot!

And I know Edward Norton doesn't shave his head regularly, but his performance in American History X as a reformed skinhead cemented him in my head as a great actor (bald or no).

With apologies to Yule Brenner and Telly Savalas, who started the change, I'd pick Michael Chiklis. His transformation from a whimpy balding commissioner into a toned, kick-ass shaved-clean cop is awesome, an inspiration to us all. While he is not an actor, Dr. Keith Ablow also deserves credit for providing a role model for professional men. Brittny Spears ought not to have been allowed to shave her head. If Giuliani got rid of the rim and won the Republican nomination, THAT would give baldiness high status, even if he lost the election in 2008. Professor Melon

I agree. It was an amazing transformation and a perfect example of how a bald head is better than a balding one. Could you imagine him playing Vic Mackey if he still had his thinning locks (assuming that he still would have gotten the role, which is unlikely)? Just wouldn't be right, would it?

Matter of fact, after letting my thinning hair grow back I saw Michael Chiklis in an interview several weeks ago and I took out the clippers then finished the job in the shower that night...and here I am today!
