Title: Long Time Lurker, First Time Poster

Hello all,

Like the title says I'm a long time lurker (very long time), I got an account here not too long ago but this is my first time posting. First off this is a great board, so I'm happy to be here. I'm one of the lucky guys who got to start losing his hair in high school, and for the longest time it was a huge blow to my self-confidence. For years I messed with medications, supplements, shampoos, tried "creatively" combing my hair, wore hats and beanies 24/7. By the time I was 25, I had reached pretty much an advanced stage of balding and could no longer coverup what has happening. Shortly after my birthday, I decided was tired of feeling sorry for myself, and that I had nothing to lose by buzzing my hair off, and letting go of something I had no control over. While I initially just kept it buzzed with a half-guard/no guard. I eventually found I preferred bic-ing it off looked much better, and have been that way pretty much ever since.

That's my introduction, and look forward to posting more around here.

Hello J, glad you signed up, welcome.

First of all, you have a great looking bald head, it suits you well. With your experience, you will be able to help some younger guys with their questions. I'm looking forward to see you post on here.

Thanks, Mike. You have a great looking bald head as well, hope to pass on some advice to other young baldies whenever I can.

Welcome. You are a lucky guy.  You don't have to shave your head daily to maintain the bald look. Those of use who are BBC have to shave regularly and pay for the extra razor blades for all the hair we have to shave.

Nice to have you here. Hope you'll post frequently and be an encouragement to the guys on this site. 

I love being bald. Sounds like you have come to terms with it as well.  Your profile picture looks good.
