Hi!
A couple of days ago I asked you guys if you think that buzzing my hair could help me get rid of my dandruffs and seb derm.
Well, I did it and 3 days after, my head and hair is CLEAN. No dandruffs and no scabs whatsoever. It is impressive.
My theory is the hair blocks the light on the scalp and help seb derm to develop. Hair makes it harder to clean in the shower. The dead skin stays longer on the scalp and could clog the pores.
It still very soon to make any conclusion, but I will keep you posted so if anyone is wondering if a buzzcut can have the adantages of sly on dandruffs and seb derm, they can consult the thread.
Thanks for your support!

your head should lighten up again
you think the dandruff will come back with the sun ?
-
The buzz looks good.
-
No, the sun will not cause dandruff. Quite the opposite.

Gorgeous!

Thank you all for your kind replies!
Little update : my scalp is still ashy and dry so there's definately tiny dandruff for now. It's winter now but I'm confident as soon as spring comes and I can take off my beanie it'll clean up nicely. Right now I use coconut oil to rub on my scalp and it moisturizes it perfectly... so nothing is visible and my head looks healthy. it just takes a tiny bit and it doesn't look gross at all.
Good thing is I don't see the deb derm anymore and zero scabs so far and I didn't use T-gel since I shaved it.
So for those wanting to do it, I'd give it a go but just use coconut oil instead of gel in the morning every 2 days and you'll be fine.
I'll keep you posted in a couple of weeks! thanks guys

So a little update on my buzz cut experience.
I want to post it here for guys who would like to know about it before they shave it.
I finally decided to let my hair grow a little bit again and to style it.
Why ? keep reading :P
I liked the look of buzz but the truth is I still had a shitload of dandruff. My hypothesis was wrong after all : Buzzing your hair does NOT help with the dandruff problem. Still had a lot of dandruff (think blizzard) but now I couldn't cover it lol. At least I'm very fortunate that my hair is not dark so it doesn't show as much.
Why I liked the buzzcut :
1. Free
2. Minimalist
3. No products
4. No barbershop
5. No helmet hair (I'm a motorcyclist)
6. Looks badasss with a beard
What I didn't like about it :
1. Shows scalp imperfections (see point 2)
2. Does not eliminate dandruffs...
3. Girlfriend’s not very fond of it
4. Requires weekly maintenance to look tidy
Also, I tried everything for dandruffs during the last 6 months. Nizoral, coconut oil, olive oil, Neutrogena TGel... nothing seems to fix it and I'll just have to learn to deal with it. At least, it's always better in the summer.
So here you go! I might try it again, but if I do it, I'll go Walter White like in Breaking Bad, so 100% sly and not buzzed. That might fix the problem once and for all.
You guys take care, I love you! 8) ;)
