Title: So I tried an electronic shaver today.
Post by: Bion1985 on October 19, 2015, 10:52:09 AM
Think it did a decent job. Used my norelco face shaver. Maybe not quite as close as a razor but still almost baby button smooth. Was much quicker and easier for me too.

Easy is good!  If you are satisfied with the look and feel that you get with the electric shaver you should stick with it.  There is no "rule" that one must shave with a razor.  Do what make you look and feel good about you!

Well I have done both now and I like how both turn out. I think using the Fusion I got a bit closer but not too much honestly. I was looking for a smooth head, but most importantly I need it to look bald. I think the electric does good for that. I may switch it up between the two at times.

I use my Remington electric sometimes when I'm in a hurry, does a darn good job.

Reddog you use a foil shaver right?  I used a rotary today on mine. It don't get used much anymore as it kinda needs to be replaced, just getting old. I'm looking for a shaver I can go to the store and buy. Something that I could use on my face as well as my head when I want a quick head shave. Do you think something like this would work well?
Philips Norelco CareTouch Electic Razor with Aquatec (Model# AT790/40)

Yes Bion, mine works great on face and head. Almost as close as a blade. I use Remington model number F5790. It's a triple blade foil shaver. And the kit to replace blades and foils is only about $17 on Amazon.

How often do you replace the blades?

If I use it on my head and face alot, maybe 2 to 3 years. When on my face only about 5 years. Just a tip, sometimes I shave my head with the electric while sitting on the sofa watching the morning news. Then I run over my head in the shower with a razor. That only takes about 30 seconds, and I'm bbs.
