Title: Antis T Outliner vs. Wahl Balding vs. ?

I recently went slick and my wife and I both agree that we prefer the look of 3-4 days of growth to totally bald. I've read about the Wahl Balding Clippers as well as the Andis T Outliner for head shaving and was wondering which would be preferable?

The one advantage to the Andis is I could use it for beard trimming, but that's not a deal breaker as I currently just use a straight razor.

Thoughts? Pics of the cuts? Thanks!

These are a couple with the old Andis T-outliner that rusted on me, circa 2012 when I started wet shaving with a safety razor

Post by: Sir Harry on September 13, 2015, 11:39:39 AM: Hard to say. I've never owned a Wahl. The pictures above were with the grain after I had stitches removed. I would say you have to have at least a week's growth to get that result in the pictures above.

I have a set and they cut down to about 2/3 days growth.

If you got time to spare and want 2 days growth, then look for the Wahl Detailers (Smaller, but get the T wider blade).

I currently use a Panasonic ES-RF31 Foil Shaver, which totally balds the head.

I now use the Wahl Detailers for shaping my short beard!
