So since i started shaving i have noticed that a blade goes dull after maybe 2 shaves, sometimes one. You know the blue thing is completly gone and the shaving becomes harder. I use a mach 3 blade, is this normal or should i change brand?
Also, when i shave the hair gets stuck in the gap between the blades and after a while it stops shaving as good as it did when it was clean, I ofcourse clean the blade while i shave, usually with hot water. Is there any way to prevent this?

Razorsharp Razor Blade Sharpener/ Cleaner https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B005BQ7Y98/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_uK5Cvb3BRBR96
Get yourself one of these, it really does make a difference.
Also, where did you buy your blades? There are a lot of fakes online.

my mach3s tend to last 10+ shaves but my hair is sparse and I only touch up part of my cheeks and neck. I certainly rate them better than anything else I have ever used

You might consider a double edge safety razor. They have about a 2-4 week learning curve, but do an excellent job, for pennies per blade. I can easily get a week of head and neck shaves from one blade. There is a tremendous amount of DE razor shaving information out there for beginners.
