Title: Dud blade in a new pack.
Post by: JDog on August 18, 2007, 03:45:50 AM
I just opened a fresh 5pack of Sensor blades and the first one that I put on the HB and commenced my headshaving in the shower and this damn blade was dull as a butter knife.

It skipped on the first pass and did not glide effortlessley like a new blade should. I slather my head with KOS alpha gel and still it felt like I was shaving with a 3 week old blade on its way out..I ended up with 3 nicks which I never get with Sensors. Has anyone else experienced this?

I think maybe in the manufacturing process, some blades must get through the quality control inspection although they may be faulty and the material may be chipped.

I've heard some other people having problems with some dull blades from Gillette.  I think there was a post on here where someone kept getting some bad Mach 3 blades.  Personally, I've never had a problem so far with them.  I get the Mach 3 turbo blades.  They seem to last longer and give a more comfortable shave.

I had this with a Fusion blade the other day.  I actually got out of the shower to grab a different one (out of the same pack) and noticed the huge difference.
