Title: shaving my head for the first time

I'm gonna shave my head bald for the first time but my girlfriend wants to do it, should I let her?

sure you could let her, she's used to shaving larger areas like her legs, would be best to give it a cut short with clippers.
I'll admit my girl-friend when I started shaving my head, I wouldn't have been comfortable cos she had naturally very short and fine leg hair, and had never touched a razor in her life.

I don't think I could let anyone else shave any part of me.  When you nick yourself, you feel it and react instantly, they won't feel it.

Yes, I would let her shave you. I grew my hair back last year for about 10 weeks, and when I decided to go sly again, I had my now ex GF use the clippers with a 00000 blade on me. I thought it would give her some ownership in my shaved head look.

Yes, clipper it down as short as you can. Make sure she takes her time with a fresh razor.

I agree with SimplySly.  I shave my own head.

Maybe a professional barber, but not a novice. She can watch .... but I'll do it, thank you.

I wasn't sure if I should let her or if I should have it done professionally the first time. This will be my first time ever being bald.

Is she using clippers, or a real razor? Maybe she could cilpper it down to stubble and you do it yourself with the razor. Just a suggestion.

Call me old fashioned but:  I will never let a woman get near me with a razor!!!!!!!!!!!!

I say;  pamper yourself; have a professional do the job with hot towels and a straight razor.  I feels great!

I have let my wife point out where I have missed with the razor, but never let her shave it.

That's a lot of trust to have someone do for the first time.  Clippers, sure, but with a razor, I don't know about that.

I would allow your girlfriend to shave your head if you were confident in her ability, otherwise, allow her to clipper your hair down to stubble & then go to a barber to have your head shaved and allow your girlfriend to watch.

I allowed my wife to shave my head about the third time. It was a good experience & seemed to bring us closer together (intimacy-wise).
