Hello guys,
I had a bad hair transplant last year and I'm very depressed now.
I would like to shave my head but I have a 22 cm x 2/3mm scar from ear to ear, and about 500 horrible transplanted hairs in the hairline. I also have pitting under the transplanted hairs
I'm thinking to do a scalp micro pigmentation in the strip scar and remove the plugs with laser epilation.
Maybe some fraxel treatment for the pitting. Maybe HIS hair clinic or someting like that.
I hate my hairs but if I shave all I'm afraid to look like a monster or like Frankenstein.
What are the best steps to do? Can you help me?
I'm 34 years old and I'm from Italy
I desperatly need good advices to win my shame and my fear, and return to live.

I am sorry you are going through all this, sCarl, but welcome to the board.
What went wrong with your transplant? Have you spoken with the surgeon or clinic about your concerns? I am no expert on the procedure, but my understanding is that it can take a year or so for the scalp to heal and the transplanted follicles to start to grow.
There are several guys on this forum who have shaved after a transplant and had their scalps treated to remove or lessen the scars. It can be done, if that is what you want. You, however, might be amplifying how the scar and pitting appear. We tend to be our own worst critics about our personal imperfections while almost no one else is aware or thinks about them when they see us.
In any case, it is good to have you join us here. Hopefully, some of the guys who have gone through the transplant procedure will be along soon.

I had similar issues and had Fraxel laser done to even out the skin surface and then micro from HIS. Problem solved. Lesson here is never do transplants. PM me if you have questions but do a few Fraxel sessions first, that makes micro results better.

Welcome to the board, sir. Wishing you the best in whatever you decide.

Thanks for your welcome!
The problem with the HT is the poor result. Now my opinion is that HT industry sells only sh*t and pain.
I had the transplant 12 months ago but the regrown hairs are very few and they suck.
HT has been the worst mistake in my life. Now I'm paranoid about my look.
What is the best way to shave my hairs and hide the long scar and the plugs?
If I wet shave, can the blades irritate my scar? Can electric shaver be better than a razor blade?
Thanks for the answer s those who have had the same ossessive problem

Don't feel too bad about being sucked in; the "hair industry" is very very good at selling their snake oil.

It looks like Chgobuzzbald can offer you some great advice. I thank you for your story as it continues to back up the message that we are trying to deliver to men out in the world.

Thanks a lot Tyler... do you think can I hide my scar with scalp micro pigmentation?
I'm afraid to cut my hair because of the scar and of the transplanted hairs... need to find the guts to do it...

You'll never really know how it looks and what you are actually dealing with unless you do. Be aware that it grows back faster than you might imagine (and faster than most of us would like).
