If you had hair would you or would you not have a beard? i would still have one.
-
Of course.
-
Definitely. When I had hair, I tried growing a beard, but unfortunately couldn't do it very well. My hair was very light, my mustache wouldn't come in and I sort of looked Amish. It wasn't till I was bald that I could grow a decent beard.
-
I would. A beard is more than just compensation for a lack of hair on the head.
-
Yes. I'm pretty much similar to Mike E.P. in that I couldn't grow a decent beard until the hairloss started kicking in. (I was in the military for over 20 years so it was a moot point then.)
-
I was the same also when i started losing my hair my facial hair wasnt the best i could grown some but like a chin strap with a stache (not connected) at best.
-
Although it grew in thicker as I got older, I have had a beard for almost the whole of my adult life, so I had it before the my balding was noticeable and all through the hairloss itself. The answer to the original question, therefore, is a definite "yes" to the beard regardless of my dome's status.
-
I had my beard before I shaved my head...if ever I went back to hair, the beard will still be there!
-
Absolutely - - - -A beard or facial hair complements a bald head. Bald or not - - - facial hair (if well kept) looks good on any guy -
Baldies with facial hair are the best looking guys. Bald is beautiful.
-
I probably wouldn't. I grew my beard out over a year ago when I started buzzing my head since I knew I was thinning up top. I figured that I needed a good beard if I ever decided to shave my head bald. Otherwise, a beard would have never been a part of my identity.
-
I have a goatee. And my wife says I always will.
-
yup...I've had a winter beard since LONG before the stuff on top thinned out and I eventually went sly. I enjoy the break from shaving plus it mixes up my look for some variety.
-
been growing facial hair of all sorts since 17 i go from clean shaven, stubble, goatee, beard. I look about 14 when I'm clean shaven so i usually have attest stubble. i know looking young will be great when I'm older but right now i like looking my age and i need facial hair
-
Had it before. I hate being clean shaven
-
Yes, had the beard for 4 years now and intend to have the beard always
-
I started my beard in 1980 when I spent a summer in Alaska. Most of the guys grew beards whether they looked good or not. Just the Alaskan thing to do for a guy. It took a long time for the beard to grow in then. It grows much faster now.
I've never shaved it off, so I'm on 35 years with the beard now. My wife has never seen me without a beard except in photos. She jokingly says, "Don't you dare shave it off. I won't know who you are and won't let you in the house."
-
Beard!!!
-
I would have the beard either way. I hate being without at least a goatee.
-
Beard. I've always hated being clean shaven, I just don't feel the look suits me.
I've have all forms of facial hair since my early 20's, from a simple goatee on just the chin to a full goatee to the beard I have now. I've shaven clean in the past for job interviews, but no longer do that. It took me this long to grow a beard that I feel looks decent so I'm not about to start over again.

Denying a beard that outstanding its right to grow is nearly criminal.
-
Have had either a goatee, moustache or full beard since I was about 21 so the answer frim me of course is yes. Only shaved my face completely 2 times in the last 22 years and regreted it both times.

dude your beard is epic! you ever try a comp.? did you place? I am doing one on the 24th but just a local thing and doing it for fun since its my birthday :)
-
Thanks! I did a competition in September, it was amazing but I didn't place. I have another in April.
Good luck with your competition!
-
Yes, I would still have the beard. for me, a full beard was long in coming - I was in my mid 40's before I could grow a full beard. In my mid 20's all I could grow was a mustache, the a circle beard by 30. I always had what I could grow, but the full beard came after going sly (at the time I was BBC, but now have MPB). So I have never had a full beard with a full head of hair.

Beard
-
Slybeard, I couldn't imagine you without a beard...or not sly, for that matter.
-
Good to hear guys i have made a bit off a mistake with my beard just the cheekline is a bit low for myliking should be back to normal after a few weeks.
-
Beard all the way! I tend to mix things up with my facial hair pretty regularly.
I started shaving at age 12 in primary school when class-mates started teasing about trying to grow a moustache (or whatever peach fuzz amounted to that) I wasn't trying just had never considered shaving at that age.
about age 15 I started to grow a goatee and sideburns, and so every licence photo I've had from Learners at 16 y/o through to renewing year before last I have had facial hair of some description
-
Thats similar to me quiet Dan i also had a mustache round 12 years old but i didnt aim for it its just like yourself i hadnt shaved yet i remember peeps saying to shave and me just no caring.

I hated guys like you in high school! ;D
No really, I did and even back then I knew it was pure jealously.
-
I've had a beard for 48 1/2 years and shaved dome for 10 years so yes a full beard is part of my identity and I can't imagine every shaving it off. My wife and children have never seen me without a beard.

+1 on that Rusty. Beard envy started very young for me.
