I just came across this forum and from what I have read, it looks like a great thing to be a part of.

Quick Intro:
I have been shaving my head for about 2 years. I started noticing thinning and lose of hair during my senior year in high school. I let it have a negative effect on my self esteem and battled with this issue all of my freshmen year in college. I finally took control and shaved it all off before my sophomore year, and here I am a senior now and feeling great. Shaving my head has been extremely empowering after I came to the understanding that you don't always get the luck of the draw on some aspects of your life. Being bald is definitely not the worst thing once you realize your a fully functioning, living human being that is able to interact with the wonder that is life.

Final thoughts:
Coming to this realization is not an easy one. I had to do this all on my own and it was rough but the support system you guys are providing here for those in need is great. I would also like to tap into the collective knowledge of all the shaving and grooming tips, because my solo attempts have had their ups and downs haha.

I look forward to contributing and learning some pro tips from the veterans. Sending good vibes to you all!

I had a similar story when I was your age. I am happy to say you learned much quicker than me. I suffered through the anxiety of losing my hair for many years. It wasn't until my mid thirties when I smartened up and shaved my head. Welcome to SBGs!
