Title: DE Razor Blade Bends?
Post by: Sly Red Eye on November 19, 2014, 10:15:20 AM
Hey guys, I just got a new DE Razor, it's a butterfly razor made by Ambroley.  The question I have is how tight should you tighten the blade into the razor.  Because if I tighten the blade really tight, the blade bends a little bit in the middle.  It shaves fine like that, but I was just wondering if it's better to have a straight than a curved blade for shaving.  Has anybody ran into this problem, I know your supposed to make sure it's tight so the butterfly doors don't open while your shaving, but how tight is to tight?

It is supposed to have a bend.  Pretty much all DEs, whether TTO, 2 piece, or 3, all have some bend to the blade.  Just tighten to comfortable level, it doesn't have to be torqued or anything.
