I am wondering why bald people look tough. The bald head has a psychological effect that makes you think bald is tough.

Glad to see you are still around, sir.

I never have thought my smooth head made me look tough.
I have a feeling the perception is caused by the solid look of the scalp rather than the softer look of hair. (Like a carpetted floor vs a tile floor.)
Is your statement based on your personal experience with how you are treated?
Or is this a personal observation of other guys?

You look about as menacing as Wilfred Brimley, who is, in fact, just curmudgeonly. :*))

Maybe because police, military, mma fighters, criminals, and athletes shave their heads.I do knowI'm not one ounce tougher than when I did not shave. *!d

Mythbusters guy

Hahaha. I happen to be one of those people who think it gives people a much tougher look. It's hard to tell with you guys obviously because you don't have a hair photo beforehand but there is something hardcore about the look.
I love it though.
Maybe a bit harder with the goatee than not too.
