Title: Bald and goatee'd guys and those with mullets
Post by: Razorhead on October 29, 2014, 08:05:40 PM
I was trolling the Internet and came across this forum that was comparing bald guys with goatees with guys with mullets. Basically creating a stereotype. It's kinda funny and harmless....

Basically the stereotype of a bald guys with a goatee is as follows...

-Lives in the suburbs (mullet guy is country)
-Always has an angry, pissedoff look ...mullet guy smiles
-Concerned about image which is why he deliberately shaves (more about the bbc) guy. Mullet guy doesn't care about image
-Wants to look tough
-Into football and baseball and wears clothes supporting the team (mullet guy not so much into sports)
-Drives an American pickup truck or suv (mullet guy muscle car)
-Has a bit more money in his pocket as compared to the guy with the mullet
-Votes conservative

.......I guess I fall only I into some those characteristics like living in the burbs and some say I do look mean.  And sports paraphanalia I wear but at a minimum, though I DO see a larger number of guys with shaved heads at sporting events. And yes, I do dream of having an F150. Holy! Maybe I do fit the description!

How do you guys rank?

Here is the link to the forum....

>Lives in the suburbs
Check. (Technically, I live in the city (Austin), but on the outskirts that might as well be the suburbs.)

>Always has angry possess off look
Nope (assume you meant "pissed off")

>Concerned about image which is why he deliberately shaves
Nope; I do want to look good, but that's not "image".

>Wants to look tough
Couldn't if I tried.

>Into football and baseball and wears clothes supporting the team
Absolutely not. I loathe sports.

>Drives an Americanickup truck or suv (mullet guy muscle car)
Both; I have an F150 and a Mustang convertible.

>Has a bit more money in his pocket
I wish.

>Votes conservative
Most assuredly not.

Not a good average.

I live in the suburbs. That's it. And I would love to get out of the suburbs. But this did make me chuckle.

It's the Bad Ass stereotype. That stereotype allowed me to stare down a drunk guy who really wanted to get into a fight with me on New Year's Eve when I asked him not to shoot off fireworks on the street in front of my house. My wife says his aggressive attitude toward me changed when I took off my ski cap.

As long as I am not being associated with Walter White, I am not complaining.

Lives in the woods.

I don't know about the angry look, no one ever said that.

Not too concerned about image. I basically don't care.

If I look tough somebody might want to take me up on it. I'm getting a little too old for that.

I like football, baseball bores me, and I don't wear team jerseys because I'm aware that if I had hair and it was on fire no one from the NFL would walk across the street to piss on my head to put it out.

2003 Honda Element and 2014 Ford Fiesta (40+ mpg).

I only have money when my wife lets me.

If I did vote, which I don't, I sure wouldn't vote conservative...or liberal.
