Title: Gray color
Post by: Hieu Tran on September 12, 2014, 06:25:47 PM
Hi everyone, i'm new here. First, i have to say my English isn't good so if there was some mistakes, pls forgive me then.
I'm 21 and just shaved my head yesterday at barbershop. It's great, I can touch my skin but it isn't smooth, if i rub from my forehead to the top of my head i can feel it harsh. It's cause my head covered in grey color. The barber warned me to not shave that way against the direction of hair growth, it's may cause bleeding. I don't have any experiences in shaving.
Hope you guys can help me.

Hi Marty, welcome to SBG. When first shaving it is best to shave in the direction your hair grows (WTG). But after a few weeks you can try shaving against the hair growth (ATG). This will give your skin time to get use to the razor. This may avoid any skin problems.

Plenty of videos on the net to help you. I shaved ATG straight away when i started shaving and i have grey hair.

Just remember to lather between each pass. Only shave on a lathered section, not on a section that has no lather. Take it slow.

I have been shaving the dome for quite some time now and i am still learning every day! Cut myself twice today too!
