Post by: warhawk on August 31, 2014, 01:46:14 PM
Hi Gents & Ladies:  Hope all is well with you & your families.  I just wanted to wish you all a safe & enjoyable Labor Day Weekend.  I am off this Labor Day Weekend so I welcome the rest and relaxation with my beautiful family.

So... what is everyone's plans for the weekend?  We are just having a small cookout at the house and enjoying the family time.  We got some delicious burgers and sausages grilling right now as I am typing this message.

To  our very own SBG culinary experts Mr.Zed & SlyBear... what do you have grilling?  I know you got something delicious knowing you.

I have marinated chicken on the grill right now (charcoal).  Had burgers on last night.  And grilled vegetables (eggplant, zucchini, yellow squash and onions).

Maybe I'll bake some bread on Monday. That would be fun.

We're thinking of inviting some neighbors over for Monday dinner.

The chicken turned out just right. Wife made 4 types of hummus and some guacamole.  Daughter made some gluten free brownies.

Spent the morning at school. There were five other teachers in the building getting ready for the school year.

I'll be headed out to my deck with a beer and my pipe in a minute.  Will be putting my feet up and just enjoying the day.

After having spent a week in Puerto Rico visiting my family, arriving back in New York on Friday, visiting my brother on Saturday, going to church on Sunday, I did not leave my house on Labor Day.

I had to work, but I finished for the day at 1:30 pm. Just finished a late lunch/early dinner at Taco Bell. I'll be heading back to the ship in about an hour and I'll probably watch a movie.

I am on my way home from Burning Man driving my old RV.  I just pulled into Yellowstone National Park.   I have never been here before.  I sure hope to see some Bear and Buffalo on my way to Old Faithful tomorrow morning.

I labored in the yard all day, then took a dip in the pool.   ~Grilled London Broil that my wife marinated. Also grilled some fresh okra, made tomato caprese and some good rice.

Cut up a tree which fell in the yard, cleaned out the kitchen cabinets, did a ton of laundry ... It was Labor Day after all
