Anyone sitting on the fence... Get off said fence!!! It's gonna be a while until I ever have hair again! I'm sly for life now!

I first shaved my head in January (North America). Color came in pretty quickly. Winter is not all that bad an issue.
Welcome. Enjoy the shaved head. I'm BBC, too and really enjoy the bald look.
-
Looks great. Your expression gives a total sense of confidence and contentment. Enjoy every moment of freedom from hair.
-
Welcome, Vic! The bald head looks great with your beard.
-
Congratulations on the new look, sir. There really is nothing like the feeling that comes with the freshly shaved dome.
I also shaved for the first time in winter. You have an advantage of your face probably being at its palest so there is less contrast between it and the newly exposed scalp. As MrZed stated, the scalp tans up pretty fast.
Gald you joined us here.
-
I echo everyone else by saying it looks great. You made an excellent decision to go bald. I'm sly for life too and enjoy every day as a bald man.
-
Superb! Well done and it totally suits you.
Welcome aboard the forums
-
Looks fantastic! O0

Good job, nice beard!

Ha thank you all!!! I've had a bunch of mixed reactions, but I reckon it's mostly shock! I love it though!
-
and you loving it is the most important thing everyone else will love it or they will just have to learn to love it
-
Exactly... to hell with all the haters ;-)
-
Greetings from another Aussie - I am in Canberra where it has been really cold so the beanie had to come out on occasion.
Looking good - amazing how many of us have shaved heads and then kept or grown facial hair!!
-
Thanks Nuts,
Yeah I'm in Melbourne... not much warmer!

I thought SWvic had to be Melbourne or somewhere in Victoria.
-

Excellent!!!

This is the "with"
-
"With" isn't bad, either but I prefer "without". Not that I am biased or anything. ;D
-
Love the blonde hair but the sly look is better

Ha thanks dude!!! Need more colour on top like yours tho!!!
-
It doesn't look uneven in your avatar. I bet it won't take long.... (if your weather cooperates) lol.
-
It's winter!!! Ah well I'm on day 5 now so another 25 should do the trick!

Good for you. I first shaved my head in January (winter here). It's not a problem. Just enjoy it. If you're going to be out for an extended period, wear a hat.
Keep the 30 day rule.
-
Yes beware of the Australian sun!!!
-
Looking mighty fine, Swvic! Welcome! :D
-
Thanks BaldWin! day 7 now, and LOVING it!
Just checked out your site... Although I'm BBC, I love the content!
-
Yea, suits you mate!
-
That's a great look on you, SWVic. Your scalp looks just fine as it is, and your goatee looks good. Enjoy your totally smooth scalp. (Scalp) Hair is SO 20th century!
-
My head tanned great this summer! Didnt use sun cream though!! I know, silly me. I did wear a hat at times though.
-
I'm a fan of it man. Nice look on ya. :D One of my fears of doing this myself is what to do with all the facial hair that grows and I am not sure I have the cojones to rock a full beard with a shaved head but it looks great on some of you guys no doubt.
-
Hi, Munkynutz (love the handle!). Just give it time. It took me about 30 years to decide to keep my head shaved, so I know that you'll beat my record! Keep reading the posts, try your hair shorter in stages, and soon you'll be scraping it all off. Keep us posted.
-
This is the "with"
Sonofabitch I'd kill for your hair lol
-
lol... And I hate it. Granted it probably looks better in photographs because I don't tend to keep the ones where it looks terrible but you may have my word on it that I have a very receded hairline and probably some degree of vertex thinning and miniaturization.
At least a benefit of having it this short (not compared to the sly out there) is it's difficult for the wind or anything else to mess it right up. But it's far from thick and vibrant :P
-
So Munkynutz... When are you gonna buzz it all down to stubble and scrape it smooth??? You'll love it and it's hardcore addictive!
-
Truer words, SWVic, truer words...
The new avatar looks great, by the way!
-
Thanks bud, as does yours
-
Well done! I did mine a year ago - wish I'd done it a long time ago. Now see pics of my thinning hair from before....this is much better!
-
I'm BBC but so glad I did it! You sir ROCK the look though!
-
Looking good!!!!
-
Heh, it's coming off soon enough don't worry. I'll keep you guys posted and provide you with a much more suitable avatar. Skin issues to deal with first.
And you guys are awesome btw, one of the most supportive and helpful forums I have ever seen.
I bought a headblade for the event, practicing with it on my face and found the 6 blade razor is actually very nice to shave with. Little irritation. Have some oily skin so often get some zits after shaving but I don't shave that regularly. I'm sure if I did it wouldn't happen. Also scalp hair is different.
:)
-
Hey Munkynutz. Do a video of the event.
-
I'll second BBA's suggestion, Munkynutz (love the name!). We're all waiting for you shave it all off and show us your clean dome. And you know that you want to do it!
-
Munkynutz, I'm sure you can pull off the bald and bearded look. We are are worst critic so it's normal to be self-conscious about our own look. Look at it this way, you grow the beard, you won't have to worry about those occasional zits you get from shaving as you said. Sounds like a win win to me!
-
A video of it??!! Hahaha really?
Okay you guys are on. I'll make you a brand new thread for it even lol!!!
And thanks for liking the handle. Munkynutz... I have used this for logins, forums, email addresses and just about everything else for as long as I can remember. Except eBay. Some bastard beat me too it :)
-
Make sure you have some warm hats ready once ya shave munkynutz living in Alberta We get cold
Btw would love to meet up if your ever in my town
-

How long have you been talking about doing this now? Time to take the plunge. This is the perfect time to do it. Nothing like ringing in t he new year with a freshly shaved head. If you really want to challenge yourself, how about making a commitment to maintain a shaved head for all of 2015? If you do that, I can guarantee you that this time next year you'll be wondering what you were worried about and why it took you so long. DO IT!

Totally agree start 2015 bald the new year is a great time for trying something new people will not bad as shocked with a sudden new look and if you hate it you can just wear a warm hat all the time tell your hair is back which is totally acceptable in Alberta
