Actor/comedian Robin Williams has passed away. Although his death is still under investigation, the Marin County, California sheriff's office says it appears to be suicide.

Yes very sad, I always liked Robin Williams,crazy funny and a talented actor.

When I first heard about this tragic news, I was just in shock.   May he RIP.  It is just so sad.

From what I heard, he had put together 20 years of sobriety and then fell off of the wagon.  He had recently been released from a rehab center. 

Alcoholism is a vicious, insidious, incurable disease.  If you don't feed it alcohol, it asks for drugs.   If you don't feed it drugs, it asks for suicide - it will do anything to escape the real world with which it cannot cope.

I have seen many people die of alcoholism suicide.

Take solace in the fact that the example of Mr. Williams' death might just give courage to one other alcoholic to control his disease for just one more day.

I am very sorry we lost such a great talent.

If this was an intentional suicide, he sadly would not be the first highly animated and vivacious person to have masked depression and sadness under an energetic and comedic exterior.

Words fails me.  Highly respected chap over in the UK.  He will be missed.  RIP Robin. :'(

Robin Williams rest in peace. What a great actor. Loved Mrs. Doubtfire. I would like to see Good Morning Vietnam. I am a Vietnam Vet.
