Basically I was on finasteride for a little bit, then got off because I stupidly thought I had alopecia areata. Now I am back to the conclusion that I have MPB, and it is particularly aggressive for my age. So my options are either get back on fin/min/niz and see what happens, or shave it all off. What do you all think? Im like a NW3 plus diffuse thinning

I don't think you need to shave it just yet. My hair was pretty much like yours when I was your age and I was in my mid-30s before I really started to look bald. Keep it buzzed tight and it will be fine. Of course, if you really want to shave, there is no reason not to go for it.

You have a long way before you really start noticing your thinning, but anyway, I think it's better to be preemptive.

I would take it slowly. when I decided to go totally bald I took a four month process. First I went to a number three shave for a month, then I went to a number one shave for two months, on month four I bic'd it.

To go completely bald is a decision everyone has to make for themselves. As for me I never regreted it. Most people who are thinking aboug it really want to try it. If you like to stand out in a croud then go fot it.
