Title: Beards in Paris
Post by: nuts on May 28, 2014, 08:43:47 AM
Just having a few days in Paris including one day at the French Open tennis and I have been staggered by the numbrr of shaved heads.  Many in combination with goatees and full beards.  Certainly many more than when I was in Paris 3 years ago.

My suspicion is that shaved heads in Europe are more common in the bigger cities rather than in country areas.  I'll check that out over the next few weeks.

Yes, shaved head is obviously more popular in bigger city than in country aria in Europe. Recently I was in Berlin, and saw really many sly guys there. Stuttgart where I live isn't a small city, but I envied Berliner a lot!!

Nuts, very jealous!  I've always wanted to go to one of the tennis Grand Slams!

Now that spring is here, I'm seeing shaved heads everywhere, many with very white scalps, so you know they are first timers. I wonder if it will just be a fad, or like many of us, once you shave for awhile, you want to continue.

I think shaved heads are becoming so mainstream...I don't think its a passing fad.

Not sure I like head shaving going so mainstream. I kind of like being different. If it becomes a fad, people will think we are just one of the sheep following another hairstyle fad. Guess you can't stop those things, so can't worry about it.

I know the feeling. At least on person at work picked up the habit after me and others are starting to ask questions.
