Title: RobotSkin.com
Post by: Tyler on August 02, 2007, 02:25:53 PM
I recently put up a teaser for a new shaving product that I had no idea what it was about...well, now, the secret is out.

Robot Skin is a new shaving system out by Phillips Norelco that combines a three head electric razor with Nivea For Men.  So, what's different than the cool skin 77XX models that they already have?  Well, a couple things.  The first being that the design of the razor is a bit different; less bulky looking.  Second, the Nivea For Men is now dispensed into the handle of the razor and released out of the three blades on top.

Check out http://www.RobotSkin.com (http://www.RobotSkin.com) to check out their cool new anime videos and to learn more about it.

Here's one of their videos:

I really couldn't get enough out of the video about the razor to comment.  Plus if it's an electric I doubt it's going to get anywhere as smooth of a shave as a regular razor.  So for that reason I would have to say  f*rg^

The short video is well made but agree with Lance, doesnt really give much of an idea about the product. I assume with Robot skin  it says it can give you a metallic smooth spotless shave like a robot.

I will scope the website,Thanks for the post Tyler.

The anime girls in the video were pretty hot.

I spent the money on the ool skin 77XX model, used it for a couple months, and sold it, I wasn't impressed and considered it a waste of money, worked ok on the face, but I could do better, faster with a blade.  On the head it just plain hurt, and took too long to get it smooth to my satisfaction.

I won't be purchasing this anytime soon.

The video itself was well done and a real eye catcher.  As for the razor itself, I personally have never found anything but a manual razor that will give me a really close, smooth shave.   Regardless of the gimmicktry, I don't see myself giving it a try.

Well said Paul. For me too, A manual blade razor is the only shaving device that gives me a smooth close shave.

yeah, and just think how many head blade refills you could buy with what I imagine is gonna be a pretty hefty price tag. Electrics are a jip in general.
