Whats up everyone!
My name is Don and i have been lurking and registered on the forum quite some time ago, and finally decided i should probably make an intro post. I started shaving my head first back on October 29, 2006, mainly because i liked the look on some of my wife's relatives (back then for the brothas it was bald, a fade or braids). I had longer hair but was getting sick of gelling or hair spraying it (the hard hair would irritate my forhead). I also liked to run a lot and wanted to try something that would accomodate my long runs.
Between then and now, my hairline has actually started receding (i was a bbc guy back then). In many ways i feel blessed that i didnt go thru that emotional rollercoaster of losing my hair andbeing forced to make difficult decisions with it. Either way, definitely love being bald and cant see going any other direction. Nice to meet everyone.

Glad to see you stepped out of the shadows and joined us, Mistadon.
I concur with BBCESQ. That is a great story.

Welcome.
As another BBC guy, it is much easier to go Sly by choice rather than necessity.

Welcome aboard! Enjoy and participate often.

Thanks for all of your kind words, everyone. As for the razor, typically a Fusion proglide. I did buy a de safety razor, and all of the accessories, but have rarely used it, as i have found the fusion is quicker and provides a closer shave.

Wow... you have a DE razor and all the accessories? You should give it another try. As a former loyal fan of the Gillette Fusion... I used to be a big fan of that razor until I discovered the DE and SE world two years ago. It only took about a week to get comfortable face shaving with it and about a month to get comfortable head shaving.
Mistadon... I am telling you there is nothing better, closer, and more fun then shaving the traditional way my friend. Keep us posted if you decide. We would love to help you if you need any tips. Post up a question in the SAFETY RAZOR SECTION of the forum or you can PM me.
