Title: Couple of persistent ingrowns, what to do?
Post by: garra on April 07, 2014, 05:31:51 PM
Hi all

As the title states I have a couple of persistent ingrown hairs on the back of my head that just won't go away.

My routine is that I shave my head with and against the grain every 2 days with a headblade triple.  I constantly run over these spots which start bleeding and scab up a little.

I am getting married in about 3 weeks time and I am unsure what to do.  Was thinking of letting my hair grow a little bit (maybe a week) to see if it improves, however I am a bit weary of doing this as once I return to my usual every second day routine will I start to get more ingrowns elsewhere.

Ahh what to do

Any suggestions?

You could try a broken aspirin and wet it and rub the paste over the spots....It should heal in a week. If not, you may have to get a dermatologist to get you some prescription medication. Good luck and congrats on the wedding!

Just a quick update, gave some benzoyl peroxide a try but it did nothing. Went to my doctor and they are actually warts so had them burnt off yesterday.
