Depending on the occasion, I have been using both Headblade's Matte or Glossy lube, but frankly, I can't say I see much difference. Especially the glossy one, doesn't really bring the 'shining' look, I'd like.
You guys have other experiences with this or tips to get it really shine?

Witch hazel and some aloe Vera gel get my head pretty shiny.

Obviously Matte is designed to reduce the shine and Glossy is designed to enhance the shine.

A pastor friend who is bald uses matte for sunday mornings. They film the sermon and the matte gives less reflective shine in the video.
But I really like the shine of glossy. I have both. The difference is not as dramatic as one might think, but they lean on wqay or the other.

mrzed,
I agree with you. I prefer using Headblade glossy lube for the shine. I also use some aloe vera gel right after I shave and then apply the glossy. This helps a lot.

If I want shine, I just leave my head alone. It is glossy enough on its own.
Matte doesn't get me to the point of no shine (sadly), but it cuts the reflectiveness down somewhat.

You already look pretty glossy to me. I go "natural" and have a pretty good shine.

jemig, not sure where you live but in the uk dr organics double strengh aloe vera gell gives a brilliant shine, its available at holland and barratts. i dont think its available in the states. O0 O0

Ive been using an aloe gel, and Im pretty shiny when I start my day. Im thinking about trying some matte products and see if anything might dull the finish a bit.

I can't tell too much difference between matte and glossy either, but I do like the best shine possible, so I use glossy, or coconut oil, or anything that will make a shine. Being BBC, I don't have the super shine that some of the lucky bald guys have. But I'll do my best for the shine that I can get.
