Do you just use it after you shave or a couple times a day?
-
Usually after shaving, although sometimes after the occasional breakout.
-
I just use it after shaving.
-
What is it? ****Hangs head in shame.....
-
What is it?
A mild astringent.
(Also one of my favorite characters in the Warner Brothers cartoons.)
-
Okay, so I Googled this witch hazel of which you speak. Does it burn? I'm a big pussy. :D
-
No, it does not burn.
Used it this morning.
I nicked my head on some spots that were poking up almost like pimples. The blade caught the raised skin and made a minor nick. Small amount of blood. Put on some witch hazel. Helped. It's an astringent.
-
OUCH!!!!!
I think I'll give it a try.
-
I never have tried it for shaving. I remember my Mom having some and when I was a teenager, I used it on any acne spots that would appear... (I'm not sure if it was a good idea, but luckily I never had much acne).
-
When I Googled "Witch Hazel", all of the picture results were for 'roid pads. :o
-
Witch Hazel does not burn and works well...My only complaint is that it smells like stale vinegar, but given my line of work, I've smelled worse things!
-
I use it after every shave and sometimes in between shaves to cut the gloss
-
Witch Hazel is one of those old fashioned lotions that has a myriad of applicatons. Beyond part of my shaving ritual, I use it as a body "splash" in the shower. Closes the pores and just feels good, bracing.
(And, yes, Witch Hazel is on of the best minor Warner Brothers cartoon characters.)

I try to use it everyday after a shave. I love the soothing feeling that it gives you. It is great stuff and very inexpensive.
-
I use witch hazel after every shave. It's the main ingredient in branded aftershaves. I mainly use it because it feels refreshing and tightens up the skin.
It will burn a small amount if you manage to cut yourself during the shave; this is because it is partially made up of an alcohol. It should not burn at all if there are no fresh cuts on the skin.
-
I use it every night as part of my end of the day routine.
- Rinse head with water.
- scrub head with Witch Hazel (using a soaked cotton ball)
- apply lotion or Aloe vera
-
I use it after every shave. Good stuff.
-
Use it each time I shave. Feels cool and helps any nicks. Then finish off with Headlube.
-
Every other day after I shave.
-
I use it every day after shaving .If I don't shave in the morning I put it on after I wash my head and face. Then I put on Aloe Vera gel. Some times I shave at night still use it then .Love it.

Another vote for everyday here. It helps to tighten up my scalp.
