I don't want to sound perverted, but I freakin' LOVE the feel of a bald dome!!! Anyone else ever catch themselves running their hands over it? I guess that's a little personal.
I can have a full head of hair if I want it, which I don't. I did the zero crop for a while, then decided to take a razor to it.
God it feels so good and 'playmates' sure go for it, too! Other than "go slow", is there any other advice you dudes have?

Feels good to me to, and I like when others run their hands over it.
Enjoy!

Hey bro, welcome to Sly Bald Guys! From the screen name I'm guessing you are a Trojans fan? O0
My general advice would be to find the routine - combination of razor, shaving cream or gel, lotion and sunscreen that gives you the best shave. There's plenty of topics here on each guys preference for the items mentioned above. If you get stuck in anyone area, feel free to ask up, as we're all more than willing to chime in and help out.
I look forward to getting to know you.
P.S. I think we all tend to find ourselves feeling the dome after a great head shave.

scboy....welcome 2 the sly fraternity. we can reL8 2 the headrubs whether self inflicted or from others. it feels awesome! as far as advice 4 the headshave, there r many threads. go 2 the GROOMING/CARE SECTION & look 4 "headshaving" & check out these 3 threads: "what razor do u use?"; "shaving cream or gel"; & "your shave routine". or like tyler says....just ask us.

Welcome aboard scboy. Feeling your own dome after a good shave IS a bit of an occupational hazard for a sly guy. As for advice, there is plenty of it here, just cruise the various threads or like Tyler suggested, ask up there are plenty of great people here to help you out.

-
Welcome SC Boy. You have come to the right place. I am with TimmJ. Sometimes I rub my own head just because I like the feel and it reminds me of my new slyness. Enjoy the sly feel and welcome to the board.

OK i know this has nothing to do with how your head feels ..slick and all. But damnit you all.. i have to get me a good pair of sunglasses. I have to wear glasses all the time and i have those sunglass lens that you put on your glasses. They are the ones that come with my glasses so they fit good...but damnit ..YOu all have some cool sunglasses and I cant freakin wear em. I like the ones sooner steve has on... If I get some like the ones you all are sporting...i have to pay about $200 bucks for em....and that I hate to do. YOu all suck! LOL I guess I could go back to wearing contacts...but I hate contacts too
There..i said my piece. LOL

Wow! I've never had such an enthusiastic welcome! THANKS to everyone!!!
Tyler, I created the SCboy28 identity back in 1998 because I was between Southern California and South Carolina for work purposes. I'm a systems analyst in the good ol' mortgage biz, which SUCKS right now. I've been unemployed since January when my company went toes up.
Question to everybody: Do you think it helps or hinders a 37 year old fella when he goes sly for a job interview??? What if the people interviewing you for the job knew you in years past when you had a full head of pesky hair? The interview was today.....
Just curious-

Howdy, Greg, Looks real SLY there. I think the job interview will mainly depend on your attitude and how you present yourself. SLY is so mainstream that I don't think that there are many out there who would be prejudiced. Besides, you wear it so well, I couldn't see anyone thinking anything negative about it. I'm a CPA, myself and I have not had any negative reactions since going SLY. Best of luck..

IT-types generally have more leeway appearance-wise than other professions. But sly is pretty mainstream these days so it probably neither helped nor hurt you. Hope you were wearing something other than whatever that is in your avatar photo, though. >:D >:D

I don't think it hinders you at all to have a Sly dome. Especially if it gives you more confidence.
-
After a good headshave and your dome is smooth as glass, there is nothing better than rubbing it and feeling how smooth it is.
I usually apply Almond Oil for shine so I tend to not touch it after that.
-
WELCOME, SCboy/Greg. You wear the sly look awesome-ly !
If you've spent any time on the site by this time at all, you know that many of us share your love of the feel of the dome.
Sorry to weigh in so late on your job interview; but I think you should do fine; as many have said; sly is pretty mainstream, and if you wore a sharp suit and tie, they couldn't have helped but be impressed.
How did it go? hope you got the job.
John

I don't think the sly look should hurt you getting a job, if anything since you like the look, you would probably show more confidence. Welcome to the group.

Hi Greg, welcome to the forum :)
one question... what is that you're wearing?!!

Hi Greg, welcome to the forum :)

Hi Magma!
I'm wearing a black leather harness, but I cropped it out of the picture... Got too many invites to model the full monty!!! Why was I wearing it? I think most folks can figure that out. gu!l+) Wink!

I love rubbing the head.
This weekend at the bar, a bunch of girls came in and flipped out of the shaved dome, tried to take a photo.... none of tham would explain why so i declinded.
however what it turned out to be was a staggette party with a list of things the bride must do before she gets married, and one was to kiss a man with a bald head..... now i'm not a fan of kissing strangers, but i would have let her kissed the dome had she explained what she wanted.
