Title: San Diego trip July 2014

Friend and I are going to comic con, always wanted to go lol, does anyone live in San Diego? Will be on a budget and looking for a good motel that doesn't break the bank! 14 nights

Great city!   I wish I lived there, but I'm on the other coast.

I've been to San diego a couple times, but don't have any good advice about hotels. 

If you are a dessert lover, you gotta try "Extraordinary Desserts" on 5th between Palm and Quince (near Balboa Park).  the name of the place says it all.

And don't miss the San Diego Zoo in Balboa Park.  It's great.

Geeman,

You will love San Diego. Try to set aside a day to travel allover the area on the Trolley. You can get on and off again. It will take you all over. Unfortunately when I was there the last time, I was unable to catch it until late in the day wso we only got to go to a couple of stops. Be sure to stop at the Hotel Coronado. It is an awesome place with a lot of  history. The trolley will take you to the zoo, and a lot of other places. Hope that you have a great trip out there. Wish that I could recommend a good hotel. We were only there overnight. I definitely want to go back. Be sure to check out their sea food while you are there. It is fresh and totally awesome.
