I am currently working towards shaving my head. It's a process for me to build up the confidence to do it. I have set the date to be December 26th. I hope to learn from the members while I am on this journey.

I chose a date as well. Mine was New Year's day 2013.

I thought about it for over two months before I shaved everything off. Once you do it, though, you probably will wonder why you ever hesitated.

The reason I picked the 26th of December is the holidays allow me to get us to shaving my head before I go back to work after the 1st.

I did something similar. I'm a teacher. The first time I shaved completely sly it was right before summer break.

Yes I have. Currently sport a #2 guard buzzcut.

You can always work your way down gradually from the #2.

That was a big reason for me choosing to shave during the winter as well.

Welcome to the forum, Deepsouthprep! Good decision O0 I think when you set the date,  it makes you feel as if you give yourself a word. I didn't set a particular date when I shaved completely bald but I did it during my vacation to get used to a new look.

Thank you for the welcome. I thought setting a date would be the best plan of attack. I currently have a full head of hair and thought a getting Use to it period would work out in my favor.

Working down with buzzing is what I did. Then one day I just shaved off what was left and yes my first thought was that I should've done it sooner. The white skin look will go away with a couple days of being in the sun.
