EDC -EVERY DAY CARRY

Obviously I don't carry all nor do I carry my largest kukri

Is that the KaBar Kukri? I've looked at those a few times. My interest is in having a good heavy duty chopper that isn't excessively heavy for backpacking.
Do they have a method of mounting the sheath on the back of your belt in a horizontal position so the draw isn't hindered by a 40 pound pack?

Yes, and it's a great tool :)
I mount mine on the side of my mole gear backpack then it's where I need it w/o hindering my mobility :)
