Hey guys I have to tell you for the price van der hagen shave
soap builds a nice lather provides good lubrication and has
a nice but not overpowering scent
-
This is the second time in the last couple of weeks that I have heard good things about this soap.
I'm pretty sure Wally World sells it.
-
I bought a cake of this when I first got my dad's shaving mug. It is a very inexpensive soap, but it does a good job of building a thick lather.
-
I have over a dozen soaps and the best for the buck are the least expensive, VDH, and Col Conk(that is made by VDH). If they tripled the price people would rave about it. High price does not mean high quality.
-
Along the same lines, I have a Van der Hagen shave brush and it works great. It was under $7. I have not tried the shaving soap but it is worth a try from what you say here.
-
Must try the van den haag soap .know of a shop in Brighton,s lanes where they might sell it
-
LOVE vdh glycerine and deluxe.
I also recommend hitting eBay and picking up Arko and Palmolive shave sticks.
They work by rubbing on your face, then brush lathering. Although I know some that have pushed them into bowls.

Very good lather. Works well mixed with Shave Secret or HeadSlick as well.
