Title: Euphemisms about Bald or Shaved Heads
Post by: MarshalArtist on September 28, 2013, 10:52:14 PM
When I was in graduate school one of the retired faculty used to refer to my sly head by saying, "I see you've finally learned how to part your hair correctly."  (He had very advanced MPB, and he kept his remaining hair quite short but not shaved.)  What are some other phrases you've heard referring to shaving your head or being bald?

1. Your head is so clear (clean), I can see what you're thinking!
2. Did you have a mishap with the clippers?
3. Can I have a good luck rub?
4. Nice to see we have the same barber!
5. I'm a big Michael Jordan fan, and I wanted to be like him!
6. I'll have bad days....but I'll never have bad hair days!
7. Older folks singing the Mr. Clean jingle.
8. Melonhead

Sly is so common nowadays, almost all of these are stale, but just wanted to throw a small list out there.

After putting on a turtleneck for a winter round of golf a few years ago, The Lovely Mrs. Schro once said "You look like a thumb".

That was the last time I wore a turtleneck.

Actually, his comment was meant to be positive.  I know sometimes people say things to be negative, but I think there are positive euphemisms too, no?

When we were younger my brother started calling my uncle (who has advanced MPB as well) "bald point pen".

Needless to say, it didn't go over to well. Hey, we were kids and lacked subtle maturity!

It came up in conversation recently and we got a chuckle over it, considering we are both sly!
