I noticed I been having little razor bumps on the back of my head toward my neck. How long does it take to go away? I used bump stopper but it hasn't helped it out as expected.

This is just me personally.....but in my opinion Bump Stopper (I assume you're talking about the stuff in the small white can) works better and faster on facial razor bumps. The better option for the back of the neck razor bumps is Bump Patrol, which comes in a tall blue bottle and is sold at WalMart. Using that, your neck razor bumps should start disappearing within 48-72 hours. In the future, try some Witch Hazel and some Ice cubes on your head right after you shave. Good luck!

An alum block will also help close your pores after shaving. That might help.

I've never had this problem shaving my head. No matter what I did, I just got lucky I guess. I do have it at the base of my neck though, right around my Adam's apple. Not quite the same, I know. But the alum block, ice cube rub, and witch hazel definitely make a difference. I will say that I never realized how hot my head got from shaving. That ice cube rub feels amazing!

I use bump patrol on that same area. It's a little expensive but it goes a long way.

Definitely agree about the bump stopper being more for the face because it did nothing for the bumps. I'll get some bump patrol and which hazel for now. Thanks

I have had the same problem off and on for most of my shaving life. It is likely PFB (Pseudo Folliculitis Barbae). Recently, I found a solution which works for me.
There is a product called Tend Skin. It is a little expensive, but works very well and in my opinion, much better than the other commercially available products. I also found a recipe on line for a home made version of the product which also works very well for me, as follows:
-one two ounce spray bottle (available at any drug store)
-6 uncoated aspirin tablets crushed into a powder (you can use a fork or mortar and pestle)
-a smidge less than 1.5 ounces of 70% Isopropyl Alcohol
-a smidge less than .5 ounces of Witch Hazel
-three squirts of liquid glycerin or 1/2 teaspoon (prevents the alcohol from drying out the skin and helps adhere the product to the effected area)
-Optional, you can add 3 or 4 drops of Lavender Essential Oil to make it smell better and provide additional anti-bacterial properties (I don't add this)
Combine liquid ingredients and aspirin in a blender to mix the ingredients. Then pour into the spray bottle. The blender is optional to mix as you can pour the ingredients in the bottle and shake it well to mix, although I think the blender does a better job. Voila! You are done. Shake the bottle each time prior to using as some of the aspirin may settle out of the solution and the essential oil may separate (although mixing in the blender minimizes this). I would apply this by spraying on my clean hands and rubbing on the affected area immediately after shaving and also again before bed if you shave in the morning or in the morning after your shower if you shave at night, basically, apply it twice per day.
My experience is that it may take a few days for persistent bumps to heal using either the genuine or the home made product, but it will feel better immediately. If you try this, let us know how it works.
