Title: appointment today

Well…had my long awaited appointment today with the dermatologist. To cut a long story short Iv'e been given a product

called Novasone (Mometasone Furoate) to use twice a day for two weeks which is my next appoint. I had a number of blood

tests and doc wants to wait for results before changing the medication. This one is light drops.

Oh…turns out I don't have alopecia areata but rather Lichen plonopilaris. Not that it makes much difference in one way as

visually they are similar and the condition is permanent. What IS different is it's somewhat more complex to treat and get rid

of the redness for good.

Was told that continuing to shave is fine and not detrimental to healing.
