Title: For shaving all unmentionable parts of your body
Post by: ChallengeMe on July 07, 2007, 10:16:11 PM
For the man here who wants/needs to shave every part of his body, we have the ultimate tool: the Philips Norelco Bodygroom at http://www.shaveeverywhere.com/ (http://www.shaveeverywhere.com/)
Click on the "see how the Bodygroom saved the beach" beachball in the lower right corner, sit back, and enjoy. Watch as 'Follicle' Phil Fontana discusses the early years of body hair removal.

I'm going to say it's both, but it's probably more of the latter.  It's amazing what someone (me) will do for free stuff!  Somehow it never turns out to be free...

Why is shaving the rest of the body wrong and shaving your face and /or head not?

you know what schro, you change the name of a turd, but it is still a turd. no matter how many names people can come up with, turds are still turds.

I have to say, general maintenance around the garden is sure to attract more birds (or the same bird will visit more often)...

I am not saying you have to clear cut the land or perform controlled burning but mowing and trimming can go a long way.

The 70's are over...

I find that true also.  I know it is a touchy subject but hell...we are grown men here...I think..for the most part.  Its just all part of keeping yourself clean.  Its good hygene.  So what....big deal....we groom the unmentionables.  I only think it is unacceptable to talk about when it goes into a huge detail subject.  But we all have our own opinion, and we are entitled to that.  Welcome to America

I think it is part of the overall shaving experience. I must say whoever is still calling it the unmentionables might have some serious issues to deal with.

Women have been shaving for decades and consider it novel for a man.  I've shaved my nuts for years and kept the pubes closely cropped. Never had a bad reaction from a chick.

Well the way I see it...whats the big hush.  That about like the other things guys do that they think is so secret.  No I dont go and advertise it....nor do I think I should...but we all do it.   If someone wants to ask me about, I will just tell them the straight up truth.  I also believe in one keeping things to himself, but big deal....anyways......you get my point.  We are all grown men here....I hope...lol.

Well I'm Muslim and all Muslim men and women need to remove hair from their p---c region and from their armpits as part of personal hygeine. It's a very good clean practice and you really feel at ease when it's done.

Just curious, Shakf, but how often do you have to do that?  So many Middle Eastern Muslim men are naturally hairy.  It would seem like a lot of work.

Should not be left for more than 2 months. You start around the time puberty starts and hair starts to grow in that region. Its 2nd nature to Muslim men and women and not really seen as an extra. It's just something we gotta do.

personnally i don't have a problem with what shakf is posting. it is info about his heritage and customs and is not going into detail. if someone is offended it can be removed but i can only speak for myself on this one.

I am really against censorship of any kind. It usually leads to something akin to "thought police" and that is a very slippery slope.

I'm not really sure what has been the problem with this thread. Its some thing that many people do, as long as we're not going into personal graphic detaill whats the big deal. It is something that Tyler did a product review on. For those of you that were raised and live in archaic times and it offends you then don't read or post on it. For those who practice this then its a good place for new techniques and product reviews, and not a place for graphic details and or pictures. This is just my two cents, if i offended any body then I am sorry, but as grown adults we should be able to talk about certain things without it being a 5 year old "ewwww" fest.

CAN'T WE JUST ALL GET ALONG?????????

I think what Shakf has posted was done in very good taste and manners.  Thats his religion, so why shouldnt he be able to express that.  I dont have a problem with it, whats the big deal.  If a female came in here and mentioned that she did the manicure job down there you all would be all over it.  I guess it all depends on the context you take out of it.  I just feel its all part of keeping yourself clean. I will be the first to admit, I do it....so what big deal, wanna shoot me down for it?  I dont expect everyone to ask me how I do it and so forth but if thats teh case then from then on it should be held in private messages.
Have I said too much?  Probably but Im cool with it.  Sorry if I made anyone mad, cause that wasnt the intentions here.  Im sure the mods and Tyler will remove anything that is rated above "R"....

Same here!!  And i agree with 99% here that it is a matter of personal consideration.

Well said by both! I say if you like it smooth on top, it's good to be smooth down below too! Looks and feels one hundred percent better.
It's easy once you get used to it, right Timmay?    ;)

I shave down there as well  ;D

I actually try and remove most of my body hair, except eyebrows and legs, as well as five o clock shadow on my face, which I like. I trim down my arms. My chest and pits are usually completely hairless unless I've gotten lazy.
