Title: Shaving Soap
Post by: wutwutman on July 29, 2013, 12:01:09 PM
I am currently using a shaving soap puck with a large mug that I found at a re-sale shop for my shaving mug.  It works awesomely.  My question is how do you store your pucks that don't come in their own container?  Right now I just leave the puck in the mug and cover it with a small margarine lid that happens to just about fit it LOL  Am I decreasing the life of my puck by doing this?  Should I be rinsing it off and drying it after use?  Enlighten me...

In my experience, open lid is fine just make sure to drain off any excess water once finished.

If you are going to cover your mug, make sure all the water is out of your mug and that the puck of soap is dry. Any moisture in a covered environment could breed mold onto your soap.

I just make sure that I drain all of the excess water and leave the mug uncovered.
