I may do it.. I'm nervous as all hell but damn It looks silly now.  Wife is going to buzz cut number 1 all around tomorrow though before we leave heh

You might consider buzzing with no guard, you're so close anyway.  The haircut will last longer. It won't be bald, but will give you a good idea of what it will look like. But won't feel the same.

When you do shave your head, you'll be another guy who says I wonder why I waited so long.

Buzzing no guard results in a very interesting, tight feel on your head.  I first buzzed no guard on a vacation to Maine. Part of what moved me to sly a few months later.

Like mrzed says, you'll be another who says "why did I wait so long?". Any sly guy on here or gal for that matter will tell you there is absolutely nothing to be nervous about. The feeling you get when you scrape the grape is almost indescribable. You will love it. Your wife will too once she gets her hands on it.

Reminds me of a quote by Oscar Wilde. "I can resist everything except temptation".
