Yeah, I'm sporting more than an extra hundred pounds, too.

Although both are gone, the horseshoe was easier to lose and keep off.

I think the part I like best is not seeing all the grey on my head. I started getting grey at 21yo, 59yo now, so not seeing it is cool. I don't mind my grey beard. I've worked hard on the tan, and think it looks great.

I had shaved before then. But it was during a period I just felt like seeing where my hair loss was going. The "after" pic has a beard with actually less grey than the "before" pic. That is because it was taken about 1998 or 1999. The pic with hair was taken in about 2002. Here is a pic with hair from December 2010 also!

Guess I'm old enough not to care what people think, except for my gal, who is a great supporter. She likes me better with hair, but wants me to do what makes me happy. I had her shave me bald yesterday, after growing hair for 5 weeks. Not sure if I would have wanted to do it sooner, now was just the right time. Thanks for asking!

Thanks, CaveDweller. For some reason, I find it hard to smile in a "selfie".. but when someone else takes the pic, I usually smile for them. :)

Ironically, the hairy shot was taken a few days ago, while the shaved pic was taken last summer. Will probably shave again this T-Day.

I prefer the shaved look also, mostly because it gives me a "clean" image that always looks good. I grew it out this fall just to see what I looked like, but now that I have pics to remind me of how awful it looks, I suspect I will be staying with the shaved look. :)
