Title: Used to have hair down to my waist, now I'm sly

I'm 26 years old & I'm a graduate student at the University of Alabama. For the last 13 years of my life I had really long hair. Mid-back or longer. I was a total metalhead (still am). I eventually realized that I was letting the length of my hair define me. I thought it was time for a change. So a week ago I donated it all and kept a short buzzcut. The new cut looked good on me, but as I'm sure you can guess, my mind started to wander towards going sly.

So here's me, after shaving my head for the first time. I used a Headblade ATX and had zero problems.

I browsed the forums here for the last week, working up the courage to take it all off, so I want to thank y'all for being so welcoming to new posters and new people who haven't made up their minds yet about shaving.

WOAH ! That slyness looks great on you ! Just get some sun (don't forget SPF lotion) and you are set with that facial hair.

After all that hair, your scalp was in the shade and looks a bit pale, but you know, it won't be long before you get some color in there and you're all set. Good thing it's summer and the color will take quickly. As others have said, don't forget the sunscreen to prevent a burn. You just want a tan, not a burn.

You'll like the convenience of a bald head. Much quicker to prep for the day than with the long hair. You still stand out in a crowd.
